Last year I turned the big 3.0 and got married - I thought that was my milestone year. As it turns out, 2009 quickly overshadowed 2008 when my husband and I found out we were pregnant. I'm going to be experiencing everything for the first time as a woman and an expectant mother which is why I'm calling this my year of firsts. I'm senior editor for Marie Claire South Africa.

I want those wheels!

This is the car I'd really like to be driving with baby in tow. A Mercedes Benz A200. A girl can dream can't she? Maybe if I send a few well-aimed prayers up above, an unexpected windfall will come my way...
Seriously, I am looking to upgrade my Nissan Micra. For me it's fine, but for a baby, it suddenly doesn't seem all that safe and sturdy. Yesterday I was taking a corner, my brakes were squealing and it felt like a strong wind could easily have knocked me for a six (is that the right term usage? I've always wanted to use that line but have never been too sure when it would be appropriate...). Probably not in this instance either...

    I want this car too:-) Was thinking of asking my Dad to give me his discount... must be of some use that he is working for MB... Maybe we can oder in bulk!!!

    Hehehehe! Cars are soo expensive but they say if you have money - this is the perfect time to buy cos prices have dropped dramatically. I'm busy looking at trading in mine but might have to wait a little longer and make more payments...
    Doesn't hurt to ask your dad! *wink wink*
